Lynn...I failed to mention the very important component of museum
work...conservation. It will always be required, in my opinion, but
I think museum people will contract out more for conservation than for
anything else, including exhibition design and production. And don't
forget all those small museums (the majority in the U.S.) will always
need generalists.  There will be much more collaboration among
museums...and some of the small ones may merge. It's an interesting
time!    Jane
