Northern States Conservation Center posted their 2011 online museum and
preservation studies class list at
http://www.collectioncare.org/training/trol_classes_list_all.html

Museumclasses.org, the pioneering online training arm of Northern States
Conservation Center, will offer 50 different museum and archive studies
courses in 2011, many taught every six months. Students may take a
single course, or take a combination of courses for a certificate in one
of four subject areas:

Collections Management and Care (24 courses available)
Museum Administration and Management (7 courses available)
Exhibit Practices (12 courses available)
Museum Facilities Management (7 courses available)

There is a promotion running through December 15, 2010. Purchase any
2011 course between Nov. 15 and Dec. 15, 2010 and receive 10% off on the
course.

Northern States Conservation Center also publishes a monthly
e-newsletter, The Collections Caretaker. This month’s article describes
how snakes and donuts are used for object supports and padding in
storage, transport and exhibits. To view the newsletter, go to
www.museumclasses.org and click on the Collections Caretaker
e-newsletter link. To receive the newsletter by e-mail, join Northern
States Conservation Center’s mailing list by clicking on the link on one
of their two home pages: www.museumclasses.org and www.collectioncare.org
