I beg to differ. For every political issue/problem a team exhibit development
process avoids, it creates new ones. I am not cynical about this process, we
use it at my institution and it works well for us.  To paint it as anything
other than another process with its own constraints and limitations is silly.
Regarding political heat from outside the institution, it makes no difference
what model for development is used.  If someone (or some group) feels
misrepresented by an exhibit, it matters not a bit to them that a team or a
curator committed the crime.
