Jerry,

Our museum uses a system called Nomadic Display for outreach purposes.  It
has some of the components that you are looking for:
panels that accommodate Velcro attachment for lightweight work.  By no
means does Nomadic only carry that type of
display.  I suggest you take a look at www.nomadicdisplay.com  Our display
is fairly simple with lights and it only takes 10 minutes for us to put it
together.
