Director of Development, A Blade of Grass, New York City

For A Blade of Grass, our New York-based art and social justice non-profit
client, we are seeking a Director of Development. The successful candidate
will partner with the Executive Director and Board to develop and oversee
all aspects of development for an organization that provides resources to
artists who demonstrate artistic excellence and serve as conduits for social
change. The ABOG Fellowship for Socially Engaged Art supports artists who
are working in leadership roles and in direct partnerships with communities.
The organization's goal is to illuminate the evolving roles and
contributions of artists by telling compelling stories about the beauty,
meaning, and transformative potential of projects that happen in everyday
life. Duties include creation and implementation of an annual development
plan and operating budget; develop outreach to and relationships with
individual, corporate and foundations donors; identify earned income
opportunities; oversee grant calendar

and related databases; manage special events; other duties as required.

The ideal applicant will have at least five years' experience in a
development role with an arts & culture or social justice organization or
foundation, an established network of contacts; proven outreach abilities;
and excellent writing, communications and interpersonal skills. An exciting
opportunity for a proactive, polished, results-oriented and intellectually
engaged professional. Full job description is available here
