Btw, the theme for this year's AAM meeting is:
"The Community of Museums: Seeking the Common Good"
How can you seek the common good if you don't really know who is in the community?

I seem to recall getting a notice from AAM that they were getting out of the OMD business. Previously they had hired a publisher to coordinate it all and AAM gave them a cut of sales (I think--this news is several months old by now); but there was some sort of falling-out and AAM was withdrawing from that publisher. Or maybe that publisher had subcontracted to someone else? I don't know--the upshot was that AAM was telling its members that they have sold or released the OMD to whoever is publishing it now, and it is now completely independent from AAM. Complaints, requests to be included, etc. are to be addressed to the publisher.

I only purchased it every 3-4 years anyway, since much of the information I really needed didn't change all that much. Now I'll probably decrease it to every 5-6-7 years because of the price increase.
