Hello all,

Share your museum’s innovations, programs, and research!

The Western Museums Association (WMA) returns to San Jose, CA for its 2015
Annual Meeting on October 24-27. Much has changed in the “capital of
Silicon Valley” since 1990—when WMA was last in San Jose—and the dynamic
leaders that call the city home continue to have a global impact. As a
center of technological innovation, the ideas originating from San Jose
impact our lives and museums daily.

The deadline for 2015 Session Proposals is Friday, November 21, 2014.

Have questions? Consult the Proposal FAQ:

In that spirit of invention and exploration submit a WMA 2015 Session
Proposal!

Looking for Proposal Inspiration?
The WMA celebrates its 80th Anniversary in 2015; throughout its history the
organization has faced change, which has lead to growth and opportunities.
Looking to the future, WMA will address challenges in the museum community
through collaboration, cooperation, and shared visions. As WMA President,
Kippen de Alba Chu explained, “The days of the old hierarchies are
numbered, and we should embrace that as an opportunity to not just improve
our own communities, but the global community as well.”

Share your innovations, programs, and research with the WMA community! Let
our and your institutional visions drive ideas for 2015 Session Proposals:

How has your museum transformed the way it interacts with its communities?
What are the ways your museum is pushing the boundaries of innovation?
Has your museum had to reinvent itself or it’s exhibits in order to stay
relevant?
Does the current structure of your museum reflect your institutional vision?
Has your museum’s consciousness changed since its inception?
How can museums become revolutionary forces within their community?
Is your museum exploring new ways of exhibiting, curating, fundraising, or
developing relationships?

Submit your Session Proposal ideas for WMA 2015!
