Temporary Position
Associate Registrar for Exhibitions and Loans

Anticipated term :      Late July 2002  through January 2003
Reports to:     Susan Roberts-Manganelli, Manager, Collections,
Exhibitions & Conservation
Salary:         To be determined

Minimum qualifications:

Possession of a BA degree from an accredited college or university in
art, art history, museum studies, arts administration or a closely
related field

Two (2) years of verifiable museum registration experience or comparable

Computer literacy in word processing, data base
management/computerized registration system (FileMakerPro), Eudora,
etc.


CHARACTERISTIC TASKS

Under supervision:

o coordinates and manages incoming/outgoing loans; processes loan
contracts; crating/packing, shipping arrangements; insurance, and
condition reports.
o coordinates and manages in-house temporary exhibitions and
traveling exhibitions organized by other institutions.
o coordinates and manages traveling exhibitions organized by CAC;
compiles exhibition venue packets, compiles condition report binders
o obtains budget estimates and final budget for the registration
department for incoming/outgoing loans and CAC organized exhibitions.
o coordinates customs arrangements
o coordinates courier arrangements; acts as courier when necessary
o other duties as assigned
