Dear colleages,

The world is changing fast. The economisation of culture is rapidly
stepping forward. Many countries just have started a new museum and
exhibition era, just to consider Taiwan, the Middle East, India and
China. Other countries are developing continuously new ways to present
objects to visitors, they have realized for a long time the usefullness
of a of professional, attractive exhibition spaces for the national
identity, for tourism and for the education of their societies.

In the future, the museum world will be divided even more into museums
of charm (K. Hudson), run by volonteers - and well designed, attractive
institutions, well equipped with multimedia and run by a professional
management. The visitor will become more important than the scientist,
interpretation and preventive conservation more important than all other
museum duties. This trend is clear to recognize, but still there are
nagging doubts:
Are you really getting best offers by taking your region as limits?
How to discern the usefull from the possible?
How to prevent faults and meanders of the forward-pushing West?
Could you get better results by spending less money?
How to get more revenue und more visitors?
Our new magazine [working title: ExpoFuture] will be targeted on these
questions, will gap the bridges between cultures, will be a usefull help
for both exhibition institutions and designers, suppliers of global
markets.

Our mission: Only solid information, based on high jounalistic
principles and scientific background, can be, on the long run, the basis
of communication for exhibition makers and suppliers. We are engaged to
secure research and collections in the future, to increase understanding
of the interdependent domains of cultural and natural diversity, their
relationships, significance, preservation, and conservation. So make
this new media your media.
