Merri,

I have you considered applying to Virginia Commonwealth University in
Richmond, VA?

Subject: Advice for graduate school.

Hi everyone,

I am looking into going back to school soon to get a M.A. in either museum,
art history, or public administration. I have decided not to get a graduate
degree in studio art. My bachelor degree was in art history. I am looking
universities from central Virginia to the D.C. area, either American
University, George Washington U. in Washington D.C., or the University of
Virginia. I would like to ask the following questions.

I have looked at the art history/museum studies curriculum at those
universities, but I would like to know of the experiences of people who
actually went to these universities under either one of the graduate
programs that I have mentioned, and how they liked these programs? If you
know someone who went there or know something about the curriculum from
these universities, your information would be greatly appreciated.

I am also looking for other scholarship/grant information besides the ones
that the financial aid office gives to the students. Can anyone help me with
this information?

P.S. I am looking into a MA in public administration because I would like to
combine my work in art history/museum studies with my interest in working
with the federal government.

Sincerely,

M erri C .Pemberton
