JOB NAME:     Exhibit Development and Design Workshop Development for
Preserve America Grant Project Texas Heritage Trails Program:  Helping
Communities Reach Their Tourism Potential

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:        The Texas Historical Commission (THC) is seeking
expressions of interest and statements of qualifications from museum
professionals or trainers to develop and lead ten (10), day-long
training workshops on developing and designing exhibits. These ten (10)
workshops are the third in a three-part workshop series funded by a
Preserve America grant.  The complete project consists of a Heritage
Tourism guidebook developed by THC staff in addition to the workshop
series.  The first workshop focused on collections management and the
second on interpretation.  The remaining workshop will focus on the
topic of exhibit development and design for a project total of thirty
(30) workshops over two years.
