Two thoughts on this:
1. Tom Lindmier of South Pass City State Historic Site, South Pass City, WY (email [log in to unmask]) co-author of "I See By Your Outfit" knows of a person (his spouse) who makes very authentic period costume. It's good stuff.
2. John Steinleigh (sp), Hiwan Homestead Museum, Evergreen, Colorado (303) 674-6262 was working with the Colorado Wyoming Association of Museums to put together a source book for things like this. My newsletters never made it to me after my move so I don't know if CWAM has got this out yet. Check with John or CWAM at www.cwamit.org.
