Jeremy Bentham isat University College, London, or at least his various
real bits and wax bits are. And, according to Stephen Jay Gould, Ruysch's
stuff was purchased and moved to St. Petersburg (?) and does not appear
to jhave survived. Ichabod. The glory is departed. The rumor, though , is
that Mr. Bentham is wheeled out for board meetings at University College
and registered as presnt, not voting.
