THIS MESSAGE RECIEVED FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF ICOM'98
We believe the gas problem will not have an impact on the conference. Hotels are coping very well and actually making huge efforts(installing electric systems in some instances) and compensations (such as free continental breakfasts) for guests during this time.

However, WE ARE VERY HOPEFUL THAT THE GAS WILL BE RESTORED BY THE PLENARY DAY OF THE CONFERENCE.
Please assist us by promoting this message. The conference has been in the planning for so long, it would be a shame if this were to disrupt a potentially fantastic meeting.

Please contact me again if I can be of any further assistance.

See you in Melbourne,

Cheers,
Noelene Galloway.
