2014 Call for Curators

Crossing Art is pleased to invite curators to submit proposals for a
contemporary art exhibition in our 2,000 square foot gallery located in
Flushing, NY. We are looking for curators that share our vision of promoting
international artists in our New York gallery. Strong applications will be
clear and concise. We are open to proposals that draw from a variety of
curatorial and artistic practices and are open either group or solo shows.

Selection Process:

When submitting proposals, please carefully read and review the guidelines
below. Applications that do not follow the guidelines will not be
considered. All artists and curators are eligible to apply, regardless of
age, gender, or nationality except those that are currently enrolled in a
college or university program and/or currently have NYC gallery
representation.

Selection Criteria:

Entries will be judged based on the following: quality of the proposed
exhibition, project feasibility, artistic merit and professional record.

You do not have to be a professional curator to submit, however, past
exhibition experience and quality of the artists submitted will be a large
factor. Curators are not allowed to submit their own artwork. Solo
exhibitions, group exhibitions and dynamic exhibition plans are encouraged,
as we have a large space that can be manipulated in numerous ways, please
download our <http://www.crossingart.com/s/Floor-Plan.pdf> floor plan.

The exact dates of the exhibition are subject to the condition of
negotiations with the curator, and the artist(s) presented availability.
