Have you checked the Indianapolis Children's Museum? As I remember, they had a good collection of Hoosier samplers.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Sampler Collections in PA

Attention PA institutions: I am seeking info on collections of needlework samplers housed in PA museums, historic sites, historical societies, libraries etc. for a friend who is working on the behalf of the Sampler Consortium. We are very familiar with the larger institutional holdings - i.e. Philadelphia Museum of Art, most county historical societies in the eastern part of the state - however, we need to know location and number of samplers for other organizations that might have "hidden" collections. Even if you have one or two samplers, we'd like you to stand up and be counted. Please contact me off list.
Many thanks,
Candace Perry
