what about the legal issue? (the legal definition of a museum, what a museum
must do to continue as a museum for taxes etc) a museum must have some
educational component in order to continue as a non-profit institution,
correct? so that's something to throw out there. But then again, we now have
for-profit museums, so where do they fit in, and yet, aren't they just as
educational? does the legal definition explicitly name exhibits or
collections, permanent or temporary, as prerequisites?
don't really have the brain power to answer the questions at this point in
the semester, but thought i'd throw out the "sub-threads" and see what comes
of them!
