Does anyone out there arrange for peer-reviews of your
collection-related practices? Our professional auditors or finance
staff have been conducting audits of our collection systems and
registrar/collection management procedures annually In my opinion this
is problematic because they normally lack any prior exposure to what
registrar/CM's do or any understanding of the standards in field. I
would like to recommend peer-review as a more effective audit process
for collection systems and would welcome comments on- or off-line from
anyone with experience with this.
PS I am not talking about MAP II peer review or annual financial audits
of the 'collection assets'.
