John, hear! hear!  Please, new museum professionals...read and take hedd of
his word.  It's all about relocation, relocation, relocation...
However, after 10 years in the profession, I was able to gain enough
experience (in the southeast) to land a position in PA, my home state...at a
decent salary.  I may have even been able to get back home sooner but I
wanted the "perfect" job...and I was willing to bide my time while looking
for it.
