Mr. Browning,

    Did you have any luck with your query?  I'm researching mortuary
practices in Texas from 1820-1870.  I haven't come across any metal caskets
and was curious if you had found information concerning their presence in
Texas during this period.

I'd be interested in what you discovered regardless of anything Texas
specific.
