You should get in touch with Malcolm S. Collum, Senior Conservator at
the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Vehicle conservation is
his expertise. A few years ago I went to a workshop that he did in
Wisconsin which was great.

Subject: vehicle conservation

Good afternoon,

I am trying to compile a resource list in regards to vehicles. These
range from carriages to automobiles to full-sizes train cars. The
purpose of the list is to have a "call list" of references and/or
possible assistance, if we needed it. We are preparing a long-term
planning document for our vehicles.

I do realize that we may be looking at different types of conservator.
I'm hoping that we can locate people who specialize in vehicles, even if
we need a different person for each type.

I have been searching the AIC website and various other places. However,
I am trying to find specific conservators who deal with vehicles. We had
several names a few years ago, but all of that contact information
appears to be out of date.

Does anyone have any suggestions? (I will be contacting the Carriage
museum at Stony Brook later)

Thank you in advance,

Lisa
