The Smithsonian American Art Museum has an immediate position opening for an historian of American art. As primary historian for the Smithsonian American Art Museum's Research and Scholars Center, this person will serve as Executive Editor of American Art, the museum's peer-reviewed journal, and counsel pre- and postdoctoral fellows in their research.
