CAM AND MUSEUM COMPUTER NETWORK 

REGIONAL MEETING


Join CAM and the Museum Computer Network's California Special Interest Group
(Cal SIG) for a regional meeting to discuss social tagging, online
collaborations, and other issues about museums and technology. Cal SIG, in
partnership with CAM, is hosting their annual networking and
information-sharing meeting.

Featured speakers will be: 

*	Jonathan Furner, UCLA Associate Professor of Information Studies, as
part of the "steve-in-action" grant, will present ideas and issues about
expert social tagging. 
*	Rich Cherry, Director, Balboa Park Online Collaborative, will
describe the exciting new collaborative group of small museums in San Diego.

*	Joan Weinstein, Deputy Director, The Getty Foundation will describe
the Getty Online Scholarly Cataloging Initiative which focuses on the
development of a new way of sharing scholarly collection catalogues online. 

$10 for MCN or CAM members
$20 for nonmembers
