Subject: [MUSEUM-L] collections management software

I am volunteering on a community project and we are looking for a simple software (not Past Perfect) to inventory local historical artifacts related to the paper industry in western MA. Those using it are not registrar collections management staff - is there anything anyone might recommend that does NOT need to be a Cadillac of collections data software - objectives, it is easy to learn to use, and low cost.
