MPMA’s Conference Workshop:  Pack ‘em Up, Ship ‘em Out!   will be held this 
September in Omaha, September 13, 2005

Pack ‘em Up, Ship ‘em Out! is a workshop that will offer participants a 
hands-on opportunity to learn some of the tricks of the trade for properly packing 
a variety of objects for safe transport. Participants will work through the 
process of making a box, creating a cavity pack, designing a tie down and 
constructing a properly put together wrap pack. They will take away an overall 
understanding of the specific needs of collections objects and the different 
materials employed in their transport, along with a really cool box complete with 
mounts! Participants are encouraged to bring 3-4 non-artifact items to pack.
 
You will learn from some of the best and most experienced packers in the MPMA 
region.
