Since you are specifically in need of light lessons for
in-school
and
2nd graders

try a web search using the terms 2nd grade light lessons or
curriculum or activities
here is one result
_http://www.instructorweb.com/lesson/light.asp_
(http://www.instructorweb.com/lesson/light.asp)

be sure what you design fits the local school requirements --- your state
curriculum guides maybe online
or ask the state dept of ed for a copy via email? Ask to see a copy of the
appropriate text book?
Perhaps ask a 2nd grade teacher/ or the district curriculum coordinator?
or science dept head?
Always go through the Superintendent and principals to arrange school
contacts,.

Maybe also ask the elem school librarians? --- what equip do they have on
the topic? Media or?

Best wishes, Barbara Hass, retired librarian (K - 12)
