The NC Museum of History is hosting its third Teacher Open House this fall.
Our audience has grown, but hasn't taken off so much that we're turning
educators away. We offer the event on a Thursday evening with a resource
fair from 4-5, opening remarks, raffle, and speaker from 5-6, and rotating
workshops showcasing our programs from 6-7. Educators may come and go as
they please, but if they stay through the whole program, they'll earn
continuing education credits in the form of a certificate. The museum's
gift shop also offers a 20% discount for educators that evening as well and
if we have a special exhibit running, we open it up for free. That's always
a big draw too!
