hi everyone

thanks for the info on the salaries, etc. regardless of the financial woes
that may be, i really can't see myself doing anythign else. but, i do
have another question. a number of the postings said that there is less
money in collections management, etc, and the best route is in education,
administration and development. i was wondering if someone could be a bit
more explicit as this novice is still learning. what exactly do you mean
when you say "development"?

it's funny, actually, that people mentioned that collections management,
etc was less well-paid because the certificate in heritage resource
management that i'm working on at the same time as my masters seems to
emphasise
collections managment and conservation.

anyway, thanks for the info in advance. i have to say, this is a great
forum to learn about museum operation...i've learned more about museum
policies, etc on this than in any course i've taken!

adrienne
