JOB OPENING

GOLDEN PIONEER MUSEUM

PART-TIME MUSEUM CURATOR

Duties:

Works under the guidance of the Executive Director of the Golden Pioneer Museum. Manages all aspects of the Museum collections and exhibitions. Major responsibilities include collection management, to include conducting all activities related to the preservation, acquisition, cataloguing, loans, and storage of the collections and archives; exhibit implementation, to include research, the selection of artifacts, writing text, and installation; researching topics appropriate to Golden history; writing grants for areas of collection management and exhibits. Trains and supervises exhibit and collection management volunteers. Other duties as assigned, to include assistance in educational programs, tours, special events, and the period gardens. 

Minimum Requirements: 

B.A. in American History, Anthropology, Museum Studies, or related field. Experience in museum collections and exhibits.
