I would strongly echo Leonard Will's comments.  Learning about
collection management, and the broader field of museum information
management, is much more important than learning a particular
database or CMS system. Certainly computer skills are important, but
they are only useful if applied effectively.

What you really need to understand is how collections data is best
stored, how users access that data, and how the data can be coupled
with other museum information to help create new knowledge.

This broad view of information systems and their role in knowledge
creation can add real value to the other more technical skills you
may develop.
