Join us this afternoon for the first in our Book Talk series! Dr. Julie Holcomb of Baylor University will discuss her recent AASLH publication Exploring the American Civil War through 50 Historic Treasures. The book discusses the causes and impacts of the war, slavery and its expansion, battlefield and homefront stories, technological and medical innovations, and the ordinary people caught up this massive national conflict. Dr. Holcomb will share stories behind key items as well as Q&A with the audience.
