More and more frequently we are seeing spam and irrelevant ads on our
list, which then set off a flurry of responses on the list.
I share the sense of annoyance with spam messages and unwanted ads that
pop up from time to time here.  However, responding in this way
to the entire group just compounds the nuisance, as far as I'm
concerned.  I think it's great if you feel inclined to complain
directly to the originator of the offensive message, but please take care
not to send those complaints to the entire group.  Otherwise you wind up
making the same kinds of demands on the time of your fellow Museum-L'ers
as the spammers are making on yours.
