AH!  I hear the smog in L.A. has definitely decreased; Mexico City and
Athens win the smog fight hands down!
Yup, you can walk to work, but, what if you live around the L.A.'s MOCA
or LACMA, ever seen those neighborhoods?  Gotta be at least $2000 a month
rent.  And if you are going to live in L.A., you do need a car, public
transportation is atrocious and atrociously expensive!!  So negotiate for
a higher salary, these guys probably don't know they've made a terrible
faux-pas; perhaps they meant part time position?
