Develop your cataloging and technical services skills further with these
PALINET Fall 2008 workshops designed for catalogers and technical
services staff.

1. Integrating Resources Cataloging (SCCTP)*

The full day course is based on the revised chapters 9 and 12 of AACR2
and covers all integrating resources, with an emphasis on electronic
resources. The workshop covers the new rules that have been added to
these chapters and will provide timely guidance to monograph, serials,
and electronic resource catalogers who may be responsible for cataloging
them.

2. Advanced Connexion Client: Batching your Workflow and Customizing the
Client


This online workshop will be taught in two parts. The first part will
teach you how to utilize the batch capabilities of the Connexion Client
cataloging interface. The second part will teach you how to customize
the Connexion Client cataloging interface in order to make it work as
efficiently as possible.

4. WorldCat Collection Analysis for New Users - New!

This workshop will cover how to use the OCLC WorldCat Collection
Analysis service to identify unique holdings and compare a collection
against all the holdings in WorldCat, how to evaluate a collection
against other WorldCat institutions, how to batchload your institution's
holdings, and how to generate reports.
