           The 1995 edition of the Library of Congress publication "Thesau
           rus for Graphic Materials I" (TGM I) is now available on the Wo
           rld Wide Web.  The thesaurus contains over 5,500 subject terms
           and 4,300 cross-references compiled and used by the Prints & Ph
           otographs Division of the Library of Congress and libraries and
            archives across the country to catalog and provide subject acc
           ess for visual materials.  The introduction contains guidelines
            for indexing images as well as sample records.  The World Wide
            Web version of TGM I will be updated regularly with new vocabu
           lary.  You can view TGM I at the following URL: http:--lcweb.lo
