You may want to look at the site of the Airpower Heritage Museum in
Midland TX. They are located at the airfield where many planes from the
CAF are housed, though the museum is a separate organization.

When they first went on-line with their virtual exhibits, they had such a
response as to how to get to the Odessa-Midland area, requests for
brochures, maps, etc., that they had to hire additional clerical
assistance. Of course, it helps their exhibits are primarily centered
around World War II, with some of the planes incorporated into their
static displays.

FYI, Odessa-Midland is on Interstate 20 near its junction with I 10
almost midway between Austin and El Paso. Of course with the two Bushes
from Texas having moved from the Permian Basin oil fields to the White
House, it would seem more people today would have an idea where it is.
