Our museum collection contains a life-sized figure made from braided and stitched corn husk.  It contains an armature of unknown materials.  We have consulted with a conservator who has suggested that we get a CAT scan of the object to get a better idea of the armature and to determine the distribution of the interior "stuffing."  I am interested in hearing about any experiences that the list members have had with similar procedures.  I can be contacted off-list at [log in to unmask]  Thanks for sharing!
