Hello everyone,
I wanted to write to you all in light of all
the recent and upcoming hurricanes. The American Institute for
Conservation has a new service to offer museums, libraries and archives in
the US. The AIC Cultural Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a team of
60 trained conservators prepared to deploy in the event of a
disaster. The conservators are specialists in a broad spectrum of
materials and are all capable of coming in to an institution and providing
a damage assessment.
If your institution suffers damage from
the recent hurricanes (or floods, fires, tornadoes, etc.) please call the
24 hour hotline at 201-661-8068.
We have an
informational brochure at http://aic.stanford.edu/news/AIC-CERT.pdf.
If you have any questions, please contact Aimee Primeaux at 781-646-0584 or [log in to unmask]
Please share this with your colleagues. We are trying to get the
word out as best we can.
