Yup, there are lots of us (well, I used to be...) freelancers out there. We
find work by:

Joining the Registrars Committee of the American Association of Museums
Getting on the RC list serve
Joining PACIN (Packing and Crating Information Network)
Getting on Suzanne Quigley's freelance registrar's list (see the RC web
site <http://www.rcaam.org>)
Joining one of the six regional registrars committees (info on
<http://www.rcaam.org>
Networking...telling all our employed friends that we are available for
freelance jobs
Getting chummy with companies that specialize in all aspects of handling
fine art (From Artex to Zamprelli--yup A to Z)
Using that wonderful RC benefit--the Membership Directory

Did I mention Joining the Registrars Committee?
Oh, yea, and joining the Registrars Committee.
