The MUA is pleased to announce that the Underwater Blogger has moved to its new home. What is the Underwater Blogger? It’s the MUA’s forum for discussing issues surrounding our goal of encouraging underwater archaeologists and maritime historians to present the results of our work to the public through the Internet. We wish to use this blog to point out new online tools you can use as well as highlight what other members of the humanities computing field are up to. We hope that our viewers will also use the comment function to clue us in on ways we can enhance our ability to share submerged cultural resources with the public. Have a look at our new home on WordPress and let us know what you think. http://muablog.wordpress.com

In other news…

Ben Ford PhD student from Texas A&M University has posted a fourth entry to his ongoing journal on the Lake Ontario Maritime Cultural Landscape Project. In this entry Ben talks about conducting research on the onshore portions of the maritime landscape and the importance of landowner interviews in gathering data. You can read his latest post here: http://www.uri.edu/artsci/his/mua/project_journals/bf/bf_intro.shtml select the 8 Aug 2007 entry from the left menu.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

T Kurt Knoerl
