Assistant Curator

Historic Mount Vernon seeks an experienced candidate who will work with the Curator and other Collections staff to research, preserve, and enhance the collections (including fine and decorative arts and graphics), develop furnishing plans, respond to internal and external inquiries and participate in the development of exhibitions. Master of Arts degree in art history, American history, American studies, material culture or museum studies required.  Advanced studies in American decorative arts preferred.  Excellent communication skills, flexibility and reliability required.
