Since 1978, NYC has held an annual "Museum Mile Festival" along "Museum Mile" - - Fifth Avenue from 82nd Street to 104th Street. It is usually held on a Tuesday evening (6-9 p.m.) in June.

A number of cultural institutions are open free that evening to the public. The avenue is closed to vehicular traffic and street entertainment can be found along the walk. Several of the participating museums offer outdoor art activities for children.

Hello,

I am researching museum crawl type events and I am looking for organizations and cities that have organized such a collaborative event among non-profits. Has your organization or city tried this or do you know of someone that has? Thank you for any information you can share.
