Although I agree with Merri, in theory, it is not possible if it is public property. That is the problem we faced. No laws prohibiting skateboarders from use of public property. That is why is was important to find an alternative. Now these kids have a safe place to skate and we, as a city facility, no longer have the liability for their injuries. Plus, the kids think we are pretty cool and hang out to actually read books and deter others from harming our structure.

The "gang" activity, however, we are still looking for a better solution.
