The first Global Candlelight Vigil for the Iraq Museum in Baghdad
took place over three days — April 10 to 12, 2007 — at museums,
universities, private and public schools and other venues around the
world. This five-minute video documents some of the most memorable
events that were held: from the vigil held on the front steps of the
museum in Baghdad to a poem written by elementary school students at
a public school in Toronto, Canada.

SAFE/Saving Antiquities for Everyone, which organized the Global
Vigil, presented the video to Dr. Baha' Mayah, Adviser for the
Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and to Dr. Amira Edan, the
Chairperson of State Board of Antiquities and Heritage in Iraq.

The video can be viewed on http://www.savingantiquities.org/event.php?
