There's also the torture chamber at the Chateau de Chillon in Switzerland
which has an iron maiden, rack, and various other implements.  Byron wrote
about the place as have other authors.  It's particularly impressive because
the chateau itself abuts the Lac Leman in a thoroughly romantic fashion.
