Hello,
I am inquiring about the best condition in which to store digital hard drives. We are an institution with a museum in the works. I oversee a vault for paper materials with a temperature of approx. 60 degrees F and 50% humidity. It has been requested that we store 6 digital hard drives in this vault. I have been told that 50% humidity could cause the metal in the hard drives to oxidize. Therefore I am asking, what is the best storage situation for digital hard drives? I hope this isn't confusing.
Thank you!
Catherine Butler
