I believe that Monterey Bay Aquarium has a successful program with their
Summer Programs, especially "Young Women in Science" program - they pick up
each girl from their homes every morning. The girls live in the surrounding
area of Santa Cruz County, and can live up to an hour away from the
Aquarium. They are all in underserved communities.

To be honest, I'm not sure whether it's a bus or a large van. but it is
certainly successful.

I know it involves a lot of communication between the program's liaisons and
the parents of the girls.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Museum Buses

I am looking for successful programs where museums own a school bus to
transport underserved audiences. Any information would be helpful! Thanks,
