Yeah, those small objects always complain about their bags; they get too
sweaty.

But seriously, this discussion about marking has reach great heights.  I
am soo glad to hear that we don't have to put a hole in the bag anymore.
The more we outlive our elders, the more we can debunk the old theories.
True about photography, if you are able to keep good records and
photography of your objects, then you have great proof of ownership.  If
you cannot afford photography of every item, a good description of the
object as well as it's condition report would enormously help in
identifying your wayward nude little friend.
