A colleague of mine in East Texas has several old wharf planks that date to the mid-1800's.  They have been exposed by low water levels and were rescued to try to keep them from washing downstream.  They are in varying stages of deterioration, and he is trying to come up with a preservation plan to keep them for the city of Jefferson, Texas.  We would appreciate any suggestions for ways to keep them from disintegrating further!
