Thanks to everyone for the advice on my freezer storage problem--although
there were two opinions: (a) don't disturb the bagged boxes of negatives in the
freezer and (b) remove them. On the advice of Smithsonian conservators, we
decided to leave them in the freezers with the doors closed.

We will be returning to work at the museum Thursday, as we are expected to
have power then--lights, computers, air conditioning, and freezers should be
operational. The museum will remain closed to the public, however.
